Assemblage of fragments reconstructing the complete profile of a mortar. Inverted biconical profile with slightly incurving walls. Flanged rim with a rounded, slightly drooping lip. The outer edge of the rim bears a small rounded lip marked by a recessed groove on the flange, of U-shaped profile. The spout is trapezoidal in plan, symmetrical, with vertical walls raised above the flange. Flat, thick base.

Material
Common ware ceramic. Compact, hard fabric with homogeneous firing (R40/S47). Abundant non-plastic inclusions consisting of medium-sized quartz and mica. Surface smoothed and covered with a thick, adherent slip containing visible quartz grains (P27), of reddish-brown colour.
