Small dish of African Red Slip Ware, Hayes type …, with curved wall. Rim of vertical development with rounded lip. Flat, slightly concave base, providing a lateral resting surface. Thickness increases progressively towards the centre. Decoration composed of a band of small incised striations, parallel to the rim, applied to the upper face of the wall.

Material
Ceramic. Moderately compact fabric with homogeneous firing, of pinkish colour. Non-plastic inclusions composed of fine mica and quartz. Smoothed external surface, covered with a thick, well-adhered orange slip (P39). The interior shows no finishing, preserving the wheel-throwing striations produced during the formation of the wall.
