Carinated Bowl with Double Handle

Origin

Monte Padrão, Monte Córdova, Santo Tirso.

Material

Ceramic vessel with well-refined fabric and homogeneous firing.
Non-plastic inclusions well calibrated and evenly distributed, composed of mica, quartz and, in a smaller proportion, feldspar. Smoothed surface with intense polishing (P70), with mica particles visible on the surface.

Description

Rim fragment of a hand-modelled carinated bowl with handle. Fragmented at the level of the handle, preventing the full reconstruction of the wall, carination and base. Vertical rim, slightly projecting outwards, finished with a rounded lip in cross-section. Handle with rounded section attached directly to the lip and at the level of the upper carination.
