Artefact belonging to the core Abade Pedrosa collection, for which records of provenance, archaeological context and associated historical information are unknown. Well documented in the region, particularly in coastal sites (gravel deposits), the characteristic Epipalaeolithic / Mesolithic assemblage — including picks — reflects strong continuity with earlier technological traditions and belongs typologically to the macrolithic complexes typical of the north-western Iberian coast.
