Origin

Monte Padrão, Monte Córdova, Santo Tirso.

Material

Ceramic. Compact, well-refined fabric with irregular firing and a dark core (T51). Well calibrated non-plastic inclusions, composed of quartz and mica. Surface smoothed and highly polished (P70). Local or regional production.

Description

Body sherd from a hand-modelled vessel. Decoration consisting of oval punched motifs, with traces of white ceramic paste filling.

“Cogotas” Type I, Phase II / Monte Padrão – Phase I-II.
