Origin

Monte Padrão, Monte Córdova, Santo Tirso.

Material

Ceramic. Compact fabric with irregular firing and a black core. Sandy composition with abundant quartz grains of varying calibre. Irregular surface with a friable texture. Slight smoothing, showing traces of exposure to fire. Reddish-brown colour (P29).

Description

Truncated conical vessel. Hand-modelled, showing a slightly asymmetrical form. High and thick wall with a rounded carination near the rim. Vertical rim, slightly concave, with a rounded lip gently projecting outward. Slightly convex base with an irregular resting surface and a poorly defined edge.
